OHLSD DISTRICT CHOIRFEST

The Oak Hills School District held the first ever choral concert that combined performers from the grade schools, middle schools, and high school in 2014.  I was fortunate to run the sound system for this event.  This included design, set up and tear down of equipment, as well as being in the role of lead crew director. This proved to be a special challenge because it was not held in our normal auditorium, but in the high school gym.  All sound equipment including mics, speakers, and sound board had to be moved and installed specifically for this event.  It was also challenging due to the large number of singers and the size of the space. When the choral department decided to do it again in 2015, we redesigned the set up by using the placement of the speakers and choirs differently than they we did in the past to improve the audience experience.
