For this production, I used older sound technology to create the sound system for the dancers. The system included four older Apogee AE5 speakers in the same horizontal plane, giving the illusion of a wall of sound for the pieces that required it. The system was driven with an old DBX DriveRack 4800 and house provided Midas M32C that was connected via ethernet to a X-touch for the Playback Operator. The Qlab File was clean and easy to navigate by my inexperienced Playback Operator, and I was able to teach them how to do many of the tasks in Qlab. Ultimately, it was an exciting show where I was able to experiment with older equipment and speaker placement.
