This is a final project for our Lighting One class. They have to use lighting, music, sound effects, and sometimes performers to tell a story they create. The sound department offered to provide sound support for this production. I took lead on designing the sound system, connecting sound students not in the class with presentation groups, and provided base files for the groups to use. I also created the soundscape for my group. Our storyline was based on Alexa taking over our daily lives.  We used EDM music to create a feeling of digital takeover, and prerecorded Alexa commands and responses to make it feel alive. I made the sound move throughout the system during the show, especially Alexa’s voice when it moved from down in front to enveloping the audience in her commands.  Ultimately, this was an exciting show where I was able to let my creativity run wild and create something spectacular.
